Delete your Offload account

These instructions apply to Offload mobile-app accounts. You can delete your account in the app or, if you cannot access the app, send an external deletion request from this page.

Account deletion is permanent

Deletion cannot be undone. Uninstalling Offload or signing out does not delete your account or its saved data. Deleting your account also does not cancel an active Google Play subscription.

1. Delete in the app - recommended

The in-app method is the fastest way to delete your account because you are already signed in:

  1. Open Offload.
  2. Open Account.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Select Delete account.
  5. Review and confirm the deletion.

Reinstalling the app, signing out, or removing the app from your device does not delete your account.

2. Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email us from the email address associated with your Offload account. This creates a deletion request; entering or sending an email address alone does not authorize us to delete an account.

Email an account-deletion request

Email: offload.mymemory@gmail.com

Subject: Offload account deletion request

Offload may contact you to verify account ownership. Never send us your password, memory or task content, screenshots, authentication tokens, or other sensitive information.

3. Data deleted

After ownership is verified, Offload begins removing account-associated data under its control, including, as applicable:

  • your Offload authentication account and profile information;
  • memories, uploaded content, and related search or index records;
  • tasks, reminders, and task-completion records;
  • onboarding and personalization preferences;
  • feedback submissions, votes, and feedback screenshots you uploaded;
  • notification and device tokens;
  • morning-summary preferences and delivery records; and
  • account-associated waitlist or beta-application records.

Offload requests deletion of account-linked records held by its memory-processing and product-analytics providers. Provider deletion is asynchronous and may not complete immediately. Data is removed from active systems when deletion completes, while limited information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or provider systems as described in our Privacy Policy.

Offload does not retain private memories for analytics after deletion. We may retain an anonymous event showing that an account deletion occurred for aggregate counts. It does not contain a user ID, email address, device information, private content, or precise location and is not linked to a user profile.

4. Provider processing and retention

Some memory-processing providers store content or derived representations until you delete the content or account. Some AI inputs and outputs may be retained for a limited period for service delivery, safety, abuse prevention, or technical operation; where applicable, AI safety or abuse-monitoring data may remain for up to 30 days.

Residual encrypted backups may remain for up to 30 days. Crash reports and associated technical identifiers may remain for approximately 90 days under the crash-reporting provider’s retention process. Provider deletion requests can take time to complete.

App stores and subscription-management providers may retain purchase and subscription history for billing, refunds, reconciliation, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Offload may also retain information where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, or legal claims.

For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Processing time

We complete manually submitted deletion requests within 30 days after we verify the request, except where law requires or permits longer retention. The in-app method is normally faster because it begins from an authenticated account.

6. Before you delete

  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • You will lose access to your saved memories and tasks.
  • Uninstalling Offload does not delete your account.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel an active Google Play subscription.
  • To prevent future renewals, cancel your subscription through Google Play before deleting your account.
  • Requests made by email may require identity verification.
